Yarrow is a plant that has long been used for its properties by the indigenous peoples of North America. There are several species of yarrow, but yarrow (Achillea millefolium) is one of the most commonly used species.

It is also used in the cuisine of certain boreal regions to flavor dishes. It has a fairly strong taste like thyme or rosemary. It can be dried or fresh and used as a seasoning for meats, vegetables or dishes with sauce.
